Transforming Schools into Innovative Learning Organisation
EDEN Open Classroom Conference, 18-21 September 2015 (Athens, Greece)
The registration to the event is free but compulsory, please fill in and submit the registration form to secure your place.
The European Distance and E-Learning Network (EDEN) and Ellinogermaniki Agogi are co-organising a three-day international conference, that will be earmarked as the next occasion in the EDEN Open Classroom Conference series with the involvement and support of thematically significant EU co-funded projects, such as Open Discovery Space, the Digiskills project and GreeNET. The hosting projects will utilise their resources and professional contacts, as well as their active core teacher communities in the interest of an inspirational and engaging event, offering free training opportunities and promoting validated best teaching practices.
To celebrate and multiply the impact of some of these projects’ most successful activities (like our popular Cybersafe behaviour webinar and some samples from the content of the Training Academy) the first two days of the conference will highlight an impressive spectrum of different open schooling and teacher training initiatives and accomplishments. Complementing ourvirtual acknowledgements expressed via multiple online channels, we’ll also be awarding our best teachers face to face for their professional achievements and contributions to their schools’ development. During the third, Scholarly Contributions Day, academics and professionals will present their research and validated practices. Based on its continuing success, the EDEN “Synergy” strand will be weaved into the programme in Athens as well, adding a “project magnet” effect to the conference and enabling new partnerships to be created and old ones to be strengthened and expanded.
We encourage all ODS community members to consult the submission guidelines and prepare their contributions before their holidays. Synergy submissions are awaited until the 15th of August, and papers may still be accepted following written request of a dedline extention (sent to the Conference Secretariat at firstname.lastname@example.org).
